The Technical University of Applied Sciences, Wildau biennially rewards outstanding achievements in both education and scientific research. In September, the Research Award 2013 went to the project: “Drug development for therapeutic and prophylactic treatments of neurodegenerative diseases” run by the NeuroPro Alliance. The NeuroPro Alliance is a joint venture between the Technical University of Applied Sciences, Wildau, nanoPET Pharma GmbH and AudioCure Pharma GmbH. AudioCure, who is the coordinator of the alliance, congratulates Dr. Catrin Wernicke from the Department of Molecular Biology and Functional Genetics. She received the prize for her work, which focuses on novel approaches for the treatment of hearing loss.
